Admissions Specialist
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Job Summary:
Behavioral Healthcare clinic is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Admissions Specialist to join our team. The Admissions Specialist will play a crucial role in the intake process, serving as the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of mental health and substance abuse disorders, and the ability to provide compassionate support to clients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings and assessments to determine eligibility for Virtual IOP and OP services.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from potential clients, family members, and referral sources.
- Provide accurate information about Sygnity Wellness programs, services, and admissions procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to gather necessary clinical information and ensure a smooth transition into treatment.
- Coordinate insurance verification and obtain authorization for services as needed.
- Facilitate the admissions process, including completing necessary paperwork and obtaining required consents.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all client interactions and admissions activities.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the admissions process.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on program developments and best practices.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines governing client confidentiality and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, intake coordination, or a related role in the mental health or substance abuse treatment field.
- Strong understanding of mental health and substance abuse disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and families.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and screenings using standardized tools.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology is a plus.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

- Must be available to work full-time.
- Must be able to clear a Level 2 background check.
