Automotive Service Advisor

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, providing repair recommendations, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the service process. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to handle customer interactions professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Advise customers on necessary services, addressing routine maintenance needs and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Diagnostics & Estimates: Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems, perform visual inspections or road tests, and prepare detailed repair orders with estimates for labor, cost, and time.
  • Customer Communication: Clearly explain repair needs, estimates, and timelines to customers, ensuring full understanding and obtaining approval for services.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure a positive experience throughout the service process.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate service records, documenting problems, corrective actions, and completed work.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on automotive service trends by engaging in educational opportunities and reading industry-related materials.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair processes.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service and active listening skills to effectively address customer needs and concerns.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain technical information to customers in an understandable way.
  • Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy and familiarity with service writing tools.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and identify the cause of vehicle issues effectively.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on follow-up and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in automotive service writing or a similar role is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
