Freight Forwarding Operations and Customer Service Agent

Location: Miami, FL 33126
Schedule: 8-hour shift

Job Overview:
As a Freight Forwarding Operations and Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing freight forwarding processes and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and efficient operations management. This role is key to maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service in the global logistics and supply chain industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight Forwarding & Logistics Management:
    Create and manage files for freight forwarding services, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for export/import procedures. Monitor and audit files for compliance, ensuring proper profit margin settings and invoicing.
  • Client Interaction & Support:
    Assist clients with day-to-day requests regarding export/import documentation and transportation files, ensuring smooth execution. Provide flight/sailing details to maintain proper information flow and help clients with logistics needs.
  • Liaison with Partners & Vendors:
    Coordinate with airlines, ocean lines, and internal/external network partners to secure the best logistical solutions, balancing cost, capacity, and delivery timelines.
  • Problem Solving & Emergency Response:
    Act quickly and efficiently in handling any emergency situations related to air/ocean files, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of goods and services.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with fellow Operations colleagues to provide support in case of workflow overload, ensuring a seamless operation across the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Freight Forwarding Operations and customer service.
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding processes and logistics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
