Full job description
Major responsibilities/activities:
- Support Wealth Advisors in their business development and prospecting efforts including assisting in the identification of prospective clients. Utilize Wealth Box (our CRM system) to assist advisors in documenting and tracking these efforts.
- Coordinate with our Managing Director, CWA, and CEO in planning events for clients, prospects, referral sources, and internal partners including venue selection, design, and distribution of invitations, tracking event information and RSVPs, nametag preparation, handling of ads and supporting materials.
- Active participation and full support at events and conferences including setting up displays, populating booths, and attending events
- Work closely with the Managing Director, CEO, and internal teams to reinforce culture through events, programs, and community programs. Coordinate timely distribution of Firm newsletters and manage databases
- Assist PR Firm in identifying topics, writing and distributing press releases to highlight the Firm’s success and differentiating features.
- Assist PR Firm with social media and digital marketing to strengthen the brand, promote content, and support SEO strategy
- Work with wealth advisory and marketing team to create and execute marketing and communications campaigns
- Participate in the utilization and oversight of the Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) platform
- Work with the team to help Increase brand awareness and generate business through content, social media, digital marketing, and video, working with our PR Firm.
- Assist team with the design of collateral items and ads that complement the Firm’s look and feel (e.g., brochures, proposals, sponsorship-related advertisements)
- Prepare the annual marketing budget with the Director, Chief Wealth Advisor.
- Work as a team to develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for purchases and outsourcing.
- Support the Firm’s community involvement by coordinating external events (Corporate, client, professional etc.) in support of the firm brand and to maintain and develop relationships.
- Perform other functions typical of a senior Marketing, and wealth advisory support role as requested by the Chief Wealth Advisor and/or CEO.
Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related area preferred
- Approximately 5 or more years of marketing experience
- Experience and educational background in the financial industry are desirable
- Resident of South Florida and knowledge of non-profits, institutions, other organizations, and leaders in the Firm’s geographic market preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows-based graphic programs (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) to lead design proposals, collateral and advertisements, and website banners.
- Experience in serving as administrator for technology-based tools (e.g., newsletter distribution lists, social media sites, etc.)
- Excellent writing skills. Proven ability to take basic information and create compelling and interesting pieces. Ability to write for various outlets: website, proposals, biographies, etc.
- Organizational skills to manage administrative tasks, invoice reconciliation and tracking systems; sponsorship tracking and follow-up, department administration, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, be a self-starter, and consistently bring ideas to the marketing team and firm leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
